What is unique about our library?

Students at Quartz Hill Elementary LOVE to read all types of books and our check out statistics show!  On average our students each check out about 12 books per month and this does not even include the renewals.

Along with the love of reading that our students have obviously shown, students also enjoy using the Engineering Design Process in library.  We learn about the difficulties that people have when designing and creating their own unique ideas while encouraging students to use our Maker-space materials for their own creativity.  Feel free to come in and check out some of the amazing creations!

If this was not enough, we also open the library during lunch recess to students from grades 3-6.  Students come in and either create their own ideas using our many resources or complete STEM challenges designed to allow them to work together and critically think through problems.

In the end, the Quartz Hill library mission is that we continue to learn by blazing a TRAIL, ultimately allowing student voice and creativity to flourish.
