2026 Bond Facts
In November 2026, voters living within Gilbert Public Schools boundaries in Gilbert and Mesa will decide on a proposed $136 million bond - Proposition 422. Voters last approved a Bond in November 2019.
What is a Bond?
A bond provides school districts with additional funding for necessary facility capital renovations and for purchasing equipment and technology for instruction. Taxpayers approve the school district selling general obligation bonds. Capital funding through the annual funding formula is limited and not adjusted for inflation. Because of this fact, Arizona Revised Statutes allow school districts to request bond authorization. School districts can seek bond approval from taxpayers.
