Quartz Hill’s Natalia Lange Earns 1st Place in the 3-6 Grade Division at the District Oratorical Contest, Recognized at GPS Governing Board Meeting

On February 5, 2025, Quartz Hill Elementary’s Natalia Lange earned 1st place in the 3-6 Grade Division at the District Oratorical Contest with her speech on Dolly Parton.

The annual Oratorical Contest includes participants from elementary and junior high schools across GPS. Each contestant memorizes and recites a speech that is three to five minutes long on the theme “Our American Heritage.” The speeches can be about any well-known, notable historical figure or an original work from the students.

Natalia’s speech on Dolly Parton earned her 1st place in the 3-6 Grade Division, and she can now compete in the state competition on March 7, 2026. Natalia was also recognized and performed her speech at the February 24 GPS Governing Board Meeting.
